Territory Manager for Missouri

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

A.    PURPOSE OF JOB

 

The Territory Manager will develop business relationships and provide excellent service to a group of top level high-volume dealers. They will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of sales in order to achieve maximum sales profitability growth, and account penetration in their assigned territory. This includes retaining and growing sales with existing and prospective dealers to generate new business.

 

B.    JOB DUTIES

  • Perform all sales functions including training, forecasting, planning and prospecting activities

  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with existing and prospective dealers and top decision makers to generate new business.

  • Initiate telephone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to existing and prospective dealers.

  • Expedite the resolution of customer complaints by investigating, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management when necessary.

  • Educate dealers and prospects on product promotions, services, and brand advantages.

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements including but not limited to call reports, expense reports, and floor checks.

  • Maintain positive relationships with key vendors and all TOP Equipment departments.

  • Communicate on a regular basis with manager about issues/concerns from the field.

  • Maintain company property including vehicle and demo equipment.

  • Execute and follow company programs, policies and procedures.

  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.

 

C.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

  • 3+ years sales experience, preferred.

  • A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record of no more than 2 moving violations and no serious violations within the last 36 months as well as no DUI / DWI convictions in the last 5 years.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Positive, sales oriented personality.

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Creative thinker and problem solver.

  • Conflict resolution skills: Managing and resolving conflict in a positive way.

  • Power equipment knowledge a plus.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Able to demonstrate equipment safety practices.

  • Mechanical acumen.

 

E.    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • Ability to move for up to 8 hours/day.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle day or night.

  • Ability to maneuver over and under equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to operate outdoor power equipment.

  • Ability to operate a company truck and tow a trailer.

F.    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities.

G.   JOB CONTACTS

  • Regular contact with Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, and other internal teams.

  • Regular contact with manufacturers, and dealers.
